Asamoah Gyan scored his first goal for Legon Cities in their 3-1 defeat to the Black Stars

Ghana Legend and Legon Cities FC forward Asamoah Gyan was on target today in their 3-1 defeat to the Black Stars.

Legon Cities FC are preparing for the second round of the Ghana Premier League, while the Black Stars are preparing for their Afcon qualifiers double header against South Africa and Sao Tome.

Asamoah Gyan who joined the Ghanaian side at the start of the season haven’t scored for them, his always jump from one injury to another which has affected the teams performance in the league.

The two sides used the friendly game to prepare their respective teams for the upcoming games.
Former Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku who recently moved to Algerian giants USM Algiers opened the scoring in the 25th minutes, before Mubarak Wakaso and Moro Salifu also registering their names on the score sheet.
But Ghana’s all time leading scorer Asamoah Gyan pulled one back on the 80th minute.That goal was his first for Legon Cities FC since signing for them.

The Ghana Premier League second round was scheduled to start on 19th match, but has now been rescheduled to April 2nd to give the technical team of the Black Stars a chance to prepare the team for the Afcon qualifiers.
