New CEO of RTU Outlines Mandates for Interim Management Committee and Seeks Support from RTU’s Fans
Mr. Zakaria Safianu, the newly appointed CEO of RTU, has laid out the objectives of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) under his leadership and called for backing from RTU’s loyal supporters.
His primary focus is to raise sufficient funds to sustain the club throughout the remainder of the season, with a particular emphasis on ensuring RTU avoids relegation. Mr. Safianu urged RTU’s supporters to collaborate closely with him and his team to propel the club out of the relegation zone, emphasizing the importance of unity and discouraging any actions that could impede the club’s progress.
In addition, Mr. Abubakari Mohammed Kayaba, the new communication and Digital officer, urged the media to assist in promoting the club and its players while also advocating for constructive criticism that highlights positives.
The CEO has appointed administrative officers to assist the IMC in managing the club’s affairs effectively. Arc Jawhari Baba Dua, the acting board secretary, has been tasked with overseeing general administration and noted that the IMC’s mandate will conclude at the end of the 2023/2024 season, with announcements regarding the new board forthcoming from the club’s Patron.
