Latest News: Real Tamale United Unveils New Management Team
Real Tamale United (RTU) has introduced a fresh leadership team in a bid to steer the club out of relegation and ensure its financial stability. The seven-member interim management, inaugurated at the Northern Regional Coordinating Council on Tuesday, 2nd April 2024, is charged with the crucial task of reviving the fortunes of the club.
The restructuring comes on the heels of the resignation of former CEO Jaw Hurry Baba Dua and the subsequent dissolution of the Board and management by the Northern Regional Minister, Hon Alhaji Saani. In response to the pressing need for change, the new management team has been appointed to address the challenges facing RTU.
At the helm of the new management is Mr. Safianu Zakaria, assuming the role of CEO. Zakaria brings a wealth of experience to the position and is committed to leading RTU towards a brighter future. Accompanying him is Coach Abdulai Muazu Choo, who takes on the role of Sporting Director, bringing his expertise in player development and strategic planning to the table.

Despite his resignation from the CEO position, Jaw Hurry Baba Dua remains an integral part of the club, assuming the role of General Administrator. His continued involvement signifies a seamless transition and ensures continuity within the organization. Additionally, the management team includes Abubakar Mohammed Kayaba as the Communication Director and Coach Mohammed Nurudeen Sham-Una as the Scout, among others.
The newly appointed members are poised to hit the ground running, with RTU currently languishing at the bottom of the table with eleven matches remaining in the season. Their first test will be a challenging away fixture against title contenders Aduana Stars in Dormaa over the weekend.
As RTU embarks on this new chapter under fresh leadership, fans are hopeful that the revamped management team will chart a course towards success both on and off the field. With a clear mandate to secure the club’s future and propel it to greater heights, the stage is set for Real Tamale United to rise from the ashes and reclaim its position among the footballing elite.
