The Yendi Municipal Football Association today Thursday 8th April,2021 has lifted the ban on football clubs not to engaged in any football activities to honour the late Coach Bannerman.
The Association on Friday 02/04/2021 imposed an indefinite suspension on all football activities in the Municipality following the death of the Vice Chairman of the Association Gariba Mohammed popularly called Bannerman.
The late Coach Bannerman was the founder of Yendi Sankara Nationals,he passed on last Friday to the shock of the football fraternity in the Northern Region.
His final funeral rites was done today which attracted scores of people trooping into Yendi to honour the late Coach Bannerman.
The Northern Regional Football Chairman Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo was in attendance to also honour the late Coach Bannerman.
The Association has now lifted the ban on Football activities as the late Coach funeral has now come to an end.
Clubs can now start their training activities as they all prepare for the start of the division two league season.
The Association therefore wished the late Coach well in the next world and pray to Allah the all mighty for his mercy on his soul.
The statement to it’s effects was released by the Chairman of the Yendi Municipal Football Association, Mr. Eliasu Ibrahim.
