Yaa Naa Encourages All-Star Team to Set a Positive Example for Emerging Players

The All-Star team, led by Black Stars captain Andre Ayew, visited Yaa Naa Abukari II at Gbewaa Palace in Yendi as part of the activities for the highly anticipated All-Star Festival in Tamale.

Accompanying Andre Ayew were notable stars like Wakaso Mubarak, Jordan Ayew, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Felix Afenya Gyan, and other players from various clubs in Tamale, along with Dr. Ernest Koranteng from the BAC group, the organizers of the festival.

During the welcome address, Yaa Naa Abukari II praised the team for their visit and urged the senior players to serve as role models for young footballers. He also prayed for their success and well-being throughout their careers.

Captain Andre Ayew expressed gratitude on behalf of the team and requested the Yaa Naa’s continued guidance and blessings. The players, including Ayew, his brother Jordan, and Wakaso Mubarak, presented jerseys to the Yaa Naa as a gesture of appreciation.

As per tradition, the King of Dagbon offered a ram and traditional smocks to the team as a token of gratitude.

The All-Star Festival match is scheduled for tonight at 6 pm at the Aliu Mahama Stadium, featuring the All-Star team against the Northern Stars. Fans can also enjoy performances by renowned artists like Macassio and WizChild during the event.

The All-Star Festival aims to promote unity and peace by bringing players closer to their fans during the off-season.
