WPL : Jafar Rahama wins NASCO MVP Award in Northern Ladies Drawn Match with Prisons Ladies in Sunyani

Northern Ladies Fc played Prisons Ladies Fc at Corronation Park in Sunyani on Saturday, 30th January, 2021. The match was the third match for either side. The two teams shared the spoil after the match ended 1 all.

The Black Princesses winger, Jafar Rahama was adjudged the NASCO Most Valuable Player of the Match after performing very well for her side, Northern Ladies Fc. Her performance made the match a very interesting one. The winger is known best for her pace on the flanks and her ability to dribble pass the opponents. She was successful in almost all her attempted dribbles, creating several scoring chances. Unfortunately only one could be converted to a goal which was scored by Torkodzo Fredrica on the 20th minute.

The young female attacker won the NASCO MVP award twice last season before the season was truncated as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic which led to all sporting activities to be put on hold until October, 2020.

Northern Ladies Fc will play their city rivals, Pearlpia Ladies Fc on Friday, 5th February, 2021 at Aliu Mahama Stadium. A must watch derby match to all football fans.
