WPL: Amenyeku Afi expected to start at post today for Northern Ladies against Supreme Ladies.

Real Tamale United newly signed Amenyeku is expected to make her debut against Supreme Ladies, the 15 years old goalkeeper was formerly a player for Kpanvo ladies .

For her hard work and good saves at the post, she was signed in 2016 by Tamale Super Ladies.

Earlier this week Northern Ladies announced the signing of the promising goalkeeper for an undisclosed amount.
Amenyeku Afi was adjudged the most promising goalkeeper in the Unity Cup Competition in Savelugu and won the Best Goalkeeper Award twice, both in Kumbungu during Unity Games. Afi was also the Best Goalkeeper of the BANUMA Top 4 Competition held in 2018. Her outstanding performance helped Tamale Super Ladies to win the 2019 Unity Cup in Kumbungu, beating Northern Ladies Fc in the finals.

She is to challenge Issahaku Barikisu for a place at the post, and those that knows her well suggest Coach Basiru-Deen Sumani will prefer to start the young goalkeeper in today’s game against Supreme Ladies which is crucial for Northern Ladies to win.
