Northern Ladies Fc have acquired the services of two players from Northern Region Women’s Division One Clubs. Abdulai Amina, a goalkeeper is brought in from Kumbungu Soccer Ladies Fc on a season deal. Whiles defender, Abdul-Rahaman Rubaba has also been signed from Timtooni Ladies Fc but the detail of her transfer is not disclosed.
The two players were very instrumental for their respective clubs in the just ended Women’s Division One League in Northern Region. The young goalkeeper, Abdulai Amina was adjudged the best Goalkeeper of the competition.
The Technical team of Northern Ladies Fc believes that the young players have a lot in them and could be developed to become great players in a near future. Both players were targets for several women’s clubs but Northern Ladies have won the race to sign them.
The club, Northern Ladies Fc failed to do well last season after ending the season in a relegation zone and had to rely on a protest case to survive relegation. The club is poised to avoid the repeat of last season and are busy in the transfer market to beef their squad for the new season.
The women’s premier league is expected to start in October, 2022 with Northern Region having three representatives including Northern Ladies Fc, Pearlpia Ladies Fc and debutants, Tamale Super Ladies Fc.
