Northern Ladies play maker, Jafar Rahama wins a champions league medal with Hasaacas Ladies in the CAF WAFU Zone B Championship in Abidjan, Cote de Voir. The player joined Hasaacas Ladies on a short term loan deal for the competition. Hasaacas Ladies beat Rivers Angels Fc from Nigeria by 3-1 in the final match of the competition on Thursday to win the trophy. The pacy and skillful winger, Jafar Rahama featured in all the matches played by Hasaacas Ladies in the competition.
The Black Princesses attacker stared in the 2020/2021 Season, ending the season as second highest goalscorer in the Ghana Premier League with 8 goals. She was also the top scorer in the Women’s FA CUP competition with 9 goals.
In an interaction with a reporter of sportsmrnews.com, the head coach of Northern Ladies Fc, Sumani Basiru-Deen expressed his delight for Jafar Rahama winning a champions league medal. According to the coach, Jafar Rahama is a fantastic player who can fit well in every coach’s team.
“Jafar Rahama is a fantastic player. She can fit into any coach’s team. Am happy for her. She has made history for herself by winning the champions league title with Hasaacas Ladies. It is great.” Says Sumani Basiru-Deen, Head Coach of Northern Ladies Fc.
Coach Yussif Bassigi’s side Hasaacas Ladies is the most successful women’s club this season. They won both the Women’s Premier League title and the FA Cup in June, 2021 and now the CAF WAFU Zone B Championship in Ivory Coast.
