Women’s Football: Northern Ladies Fc Supports All Division One League Clubs in Northern Region with One Football Each
Tamale based Premier League Club, Northern Ladies Fc has supported all women’s division one league clubs in Northern Region with one football each to help them in their division one league competition. The distribution of the footballs was done by the club’s Team Manager, Mr Ibrahim Iddrisu and the assistant coach of the club, Mr Alhassan Saani. Greater number of the division one clubs received the gift already with few of them yet to receive it.
There are 10 Women’s Division One League clubs in the Northern Region that are competing for the qualification into the Ghana Women’s Premier League. These 10 clubs have done a lot towards the development of women’s football in Northern Region. They have been feeding the two women’s Premier League clubs in Northern Region, ie Pearlpia Ladies and Northern Ladies with quality players. Hence the need to support them in diverse ways to keep on the good work they are doing. One of the serious challenges in women’s football especially, the lower level has to do with inadequate number of footballs on training grounds. Northern Ladies in their small way is helping to minimize the challenge.
The division one league started last week with so many thrills and joy. The league promises to produce beautiful games across all the game venues.
Northern Ladies performed averagely in the last Women’s Premier League, ending the league on 5th position on the league log with 15 points, and are poised to come back strongly next season.
