Women’s Football : Northern Ladies Fc intensifies training ahead of the 2020/2021 football season.
Ban on Football was lifted by the president of the republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo weeks ago. Shortly after the ban was lifted, some clubs started training including Northern Ladies Football Club, one of the Women’s Premier League clubs based in Tamale, Northern Region. The club has been training for about two weeks now.
On Tuesday, 20th October, 2020, Sportsmrnews’ team made up of Mohammed Nurudeen Sham-Una, Musah Abdul-Rahim (Ramzy) and Mumuni Abdul-Mumin visited the training ground of the club at Aliu Mahama Stadium Annex 2 to see how they were doing. To their surprise, the training ground was electrifying. Supporters were there in their numbers to watch their darling club train. The turn out of players was massive. The Technical Team members led by the head coach, Sumani Basiru-Deen were also there in their numbers to moderate the training sessions. The Technical Director of the club, Hajia Zelia including some management members were also at the training ground.
In fact, the euphoria at the training ground was amazing. The team in their interaction with the supporters realized that some of the them could not hide their delight for see the players train with such a high spirit.
The secretary of the club, Mr Amin, on behalf of the management used the opportunity to introduce their new media officer, Mr Abdul-Mumin Mumuni to the supporters.
The Ghana Women’s Premier League is scheduled to start on 2nd January, 2021.
