Women’s Football : Northern Ladies Fc confirms Dr. Iddrisu Yahaya as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Club.
The board of directors of the Women’s Premier League Club, Northern Ladies FC have confirmed the appointment of former CEO of Tohazie FC and Research Scientist, Dr. Iddrisu Yahaya as the New Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the club.
Dr. Iddrisu Yahaya is a Senior Research Scientist working with CSIR-SARI. He had his primary and Junior secondary School Education at St. Joseph’s School in Tamale before he proceeded to Ghana Senior High School (Ghanasco) Tamale, in 1995 and completed in 1998. University for Development Studies(UDS) was his next destination, 2000-2004 where he obtained a Bachelor Of Science Degree.
Dr. Iddrisu Yahaya also holds an Mphil in Agric Economics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Dr Iddi as affectionately called obtained a PHD in Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University, USA, 2012-2015.
By profession, he is a Senior Research Scientist with CSIR-SARI as stated earlier. He has been working with SARI since 2009 to date.
Dr. Iddrisu Yahaya is currently the Head of Farming System Research Group in the Upper West Region.
He is a football loving fan but also played football to some level when he was young. He started football with Hearts Babies and played with them to the level of U-14 but could not continue due to some reasons. He was once the CEO of Tohazie Fc, a Second Division Club in Tamale.
The New CEO of Northern Ladies FC is expected to oversee the operations of the club in a professional manner and will also ensure that the objectives and targets of the club are met.
Before his appointment as the CEO of Northern Ladies Fc, Dr. Iddi had already brought a Partnership Deal between Northern Ladies Fc and Puzuri Group of Companies.
The young affable leader is expected to take Northern Ladies high in terms of performance in Ghana Women’s Competitions and Continental Showpieces. He has done it already with some clubs and can do it again with Northern Ladies Fc.
