JUST IN : Awellimbilla Rosemary Confirmed Captain of Dahinsheli Ladies Football Club

Dahinsheli Ladies Football Club has confirmed Awellimbilla Rosemary as the new captain of the club. Her appointment comes as a result of Abdul-Karim Samira’s departure from the club. Samira was named captain of Dahinsheli Ladies Fc in 2018 and served until February, 2021.
Her deputy, Issah Rafia got married and had to leave the club for the mean time. Hence, the need to name new captain for the club and her deputies.

 

Awellimbilla Rosemary-Captain

The new captain, Awellimbilla Rosemary will be Assisted by Alhassan Rafia as 1st deputy captain and lbrahim Zakia as 2nd Deputy Captain. The new captain, Awellimbilla Rosemary is a level 300 student of Tamale College of Education (TATCO) while her deputies, Alhassan Rafia and Ibrahim Zakia are still in Senior High Schools.

 

Deputy Captains

Shahadu Barikisu (Nana) was the first captain of the club when it was established. She led the team in the 2012 Regional Women’s division two league and helped the club to qualify to division one but later dropped the captain Armband in 2014 when she realized that she could no longer be regular in the team due to schooling. The Armband was handed over to Alhassan Fakiha in that same year but she also left the club for the Premier League side, Northern Ladies Fc. Nindow Basira was made her deputy in that year who similar left for another Premier League club, Pearlpia Ladies Fc.

Dahinsheli Ladies Fc won the Northern Regional Women’s Division One League in the 2015/2016 season and represented the region in women’s middle league at the capital city of Upper East Region, Bolgatanga. But they failed to make into the Ghana Women’s Premier League.
