Women’s Football : Amenyeku Afi Wins Northern Ladies Fans Monthly Player Award for the Month of April, 2021.
The winner of the Northern Ladies Fans Player Award for the month of April, 2021 was announced on Monday, 17th May, 2021 at the club’s training grounds, Aliu Mahama Stadium Annex 2. The Club’s number one goalkeeper, Amenyeku Afi won the accolade. She went home with a football boot, a medal and a cash prize.
Four players were nominated for the award, namely : Korankye Gladys, Amoako Dorothy, Akaheeh Doris and Amenyeku Afi. Voting was done as usual, on the Fans social media platforms.

According to the fans, they considered the performances of the players in the four matches played in the month under consideration ie Ashtown Ladies, Kumasi Sports Academy, Prison Ladies and Pearlpia Ladies.
The former Goalkeeper of Tamale Super Ladies kept two cleansheets in the four matches played and was also exceptional in the entire matches under review.
Northern Ladies are waiting for the round of 16 draw of the Women’s FA Cup to know their next opponent after thrashing Zidcom Ladies on Saturday 15th May, 2021 at Paga Town Park by 8-1 in the round of 32 fixtures. The round 16 draw is expected to take place on Tuesday, 18th May, 2021 and the Matches shall be played between 21st – 23rd May, 2021 across all the zones.
