Women’s Football: Abdulai Mukarama Hat-trick gives Northern Ladies first three points on the season

The National women’s U-20 forward Abdulai Mukarama’s hat-trick gave Northern Ladies a straight away win in their Women’s Premier League opener in Kumasi.

On Saturday,16th January 2021, Northern Ladies FC played Ashtown Ladies in Kumasi to mark the beginning of the Women Premier League.

Mukarama Abdulai converted a penalty on the 3rd minute mark after Jafar Rahama was brought down in the 18 yard box.

The Queen Mother of football in the North got her second goal to put the visitors two goals up on the 23rd minute. Just before the the end of the first half, Ashtown Ladies got a consolation goal to make it 2:1 in the first half.

The second half started in high tempo as the home side pushed hard for an equalizer but unfortunately the visitors over powered them and got a third goal through Abdulai Mukarama. The match ended 3-1 in favor of Northern Ladies.

Abdulai Mukarama will leave for school in the USA before their next match.

Northern Ladies will be at home next week to welcome Kumasi Sports Academy at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
