Yussif Barikisu of FC Young Queens has all these qualities in her and has been a solid rock at the back for Fc Young Queens in the just ended Northern Regional Women’s Division One League.
The 15 year old has the ability to anticipate the opposition moves and intercept the ball before it gets to strikers. She is a good reader of the game. She uses her great physique as a weapon to outmuscle the opposition attackers in a one-on-one situations.
Her fine form has not been left unnoticed as it earned her 8 MVP Awards in the Regional Women’s Division One League.
Her team had on numerous occasions depended on her brilliance. She is also a great leader in the field as she forms a communication line between herself and the players.
She is one of the most talked of players in the current campaign and it will not be surprising to see her play in the Women Premier League once the new season begins.
Many has likened her to Sergio Ramos of Paris Saint Germain as she has in oftentimes terrorizes attackers to prevent them from shooting or making assist due to her high sense of awareness, positioning and her ability to use her physical strength to make challenges when necessary.
The world should watch out for this little girl as she stepped out to stamp her name in the history books of Ghana and the World at large.
