After Kosta Papic tendered his resignation letter to the management of Accra Hearts of Oak, sportsmrnews.com has checked on the profiles of the speculated possible coaches and has this to say.

We have earmarked three outstanding coaches who are leading the way to securing the job according to our sources.

First on our list is Yaw Preko, he is a well known personality in Ghanaian football, having played for the Black Stars and also coaching the U-20 national team.

He has a great link with club, in 2016 he was appointed as a caretaker coach for the Phobians after the sacking of Japanese trainer Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

He recently worked as an interim coach of Accra Great Olympics, after Coach Annor Walker health conditions wouldn’t allow him to be on the touch line, he won three of the matches they played, and even won 2:0 against Hearts.

His performance as an interim boss has given him a great chance to secure the job. Even recently news from the camp of the Accra Hearts of Oak has suggested many of the board members prefers Yaw Preko to take charge .

Another one on the list is Maxwell Konadu, if there is a coach who knows the Ghana league well then it will be the former Kotoko boss.
Maxwell Konadu has experience in the league, both as a player and a coach.

He started his managerial career in the league in 2009 when he was a manager of All Stars fc in two seasons. He was then appointed the manager for Kotoko in the 2011-2012 season where he guided them to win the Glo Premier League title, he resigned after winning the title for them.

He was also the assistant coach of the U-23 side in 2011.Then in 2012 he was the assistant coach of the Black Stars and was also the Coach for the U-20 national team in that same period. He also became the U-23 team coach from 2013-2014.

He was also appointed the assistant coach of the Black Stars from 2014 to 2019, in this period he became an interim coach of the Black Stars after the sacking of Coach Kwesi Appiah.

He was also appointed the manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko until he was recently fired for a poor start of the season. Interns of experience in the league Coach Maxwell Konadu can’t be overlooked in this job, especially know that his formal club is doing well in the league, he could be given the chance because knows each and every secret about Kotoko. So this could be his only chance to pay them back for not trusting him.

Last on our list is the former King Faisal player Coach Ibrahim Tanko who started his managerial job in abroad, he is well known in the game, he worked as an assistant manager for Sc Freiburg in Germany from 2007-2008. He was also an assistant manager for Koln Fc from 2011-2012 and was then appointed the assistant coach for the Cameroonian national team in 2013. He was also appointed the assistant coach of the Black Stars and coach for Black Stars B team. Recent reports has suggested that the Hearts board is contacting him for the job.

Should he be given the job, it will a big test for him to turn things around at the club considering their current circumstances. The club is currently in the hands of the U-15 coach Samuel Nii Noi as an interim boss, the club confirm this today in their press release.

The appointment of a new boss won’t be long, as the present situation will not allow the caretaker coach much time. It will be a tough decision for the club to make in picking one of this three, but who so ever they choose ,it will be good for them as all of them possesses the ability to handle the job.
