WDO Sub-Middle League, Northern Zone : Alhaj Abu Hassan Rhyzo Leads GFA Delegation to officially Open the Competition.
The Women’s Division One Sub-Middle. League, Northern Ladies Fc kicked off at Aliu Mahama Stadium on Friday, 8th October, 2021 at 8am. Six regional Women’s Division One champions from Northern Region, Upper West Region, Upper East Region, Brong Ahafo Region and Ashanti Region would compete for the two slots in the Northern Zone of the Ghana Women’s Premier League.
NRFA Chairman, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo together with RFA Chairman for Upper East Region, Alhaj Salifu Zida, Head Coach of Black Maidens, Coach Baba Nuhu Mallam and other football enthusiasts officially opened the Women’s Division One Sub-Middle League, Northern zone. The passing of the ball for the first match to start was done by the chairman of the host region, Alhaj Abu Hassan Mahamadu Rhyzo.
Fc Savanah (Northern Region), Fosu Royal Ladies (Brong Ahafo Region), Wa Real Crusaders (Upper West Region), Dreamz Ladies (Ashanti Region) , Dynamite Ladies (Ashanti Region) and Zicom Ladies (Upper East Region) are the participating clubs in the Championship. However, FC Savanah, Dynamite Ladies and Dreamz Ladies are seen as favorites of the competition, two of them could make it into the Women’s Premier League.
The first match was between Fosu Royal Ladies and Wa Real Crusaders which ended 10-1 in favor of the Techiman based Royal Ladies Fc. The second match of the would be between Fc Savanah and Dynamite Ladies which comes of at 10am, Friday.
