WARIBOGU FC BEAT CHANGNAYILI FC 2:0 TO WIN DR DO GOOD TOURNAMENT IN NYANPKALA

The four team tournament which was organized in honor of Dr Abdulai Alhassan Lansah known as Dr Do Good ended on Tuesday with Waribogu FC defeating Changnayili FC by 2 goals to nil.

Dr Do Good works with SARI and his passion for Football made him bought into the idea of using Football to unite and educate the youth about the dangers of drug abuse. He is the main sponsor of the tournament.

The first half was dominated by the Waribogu team creating so many chances. On the 19th minute mark, Sadic who was the main striker of Waribogu FC converted a cross from the right wing to give his side a lead.

Mohammed Mahmud made it 2 for Waribogu FC on the 33rd minute of the first half when he profited from a defensive error.

The second half was more about tactical play and defensive abilities. Changnaayili FC made a number of changes upfront but it couldn’t secure them a goal. The final score was Waribogu 2:0 Changnaayili FC

The purpose of the tournament is to strengthen the unity among the communities in the Tolon District. It is also to unearth hidden talents in the communities.

Earlier, the 3rd place match was between Golinga Zam FC and SARI FC which ended 2:1 in favour of SARI FC.

The Zongo Chief of Nyanpkala Chief Partrick Apullah urge the footballers to always respect the elders and also take their education serious.

The Tolon District FA Chairman, Mr Adam Ibrahim Home Boy expressed his gratitude to the organizers and the communities for making this tournament a success. He urge the players to keep training so hard in order to remain fit.
