The Champions League returns to our screens tonight, with Newcastle United rejoining the competition after a two-decade absence. Their first challenge is a match against AC Milan at the iconic San Siro.

Defending champions Manchester City will also begin their campaign later today at home against Red star Belgrade. Newcastle, under the guidance of Eddie Howe, will be buoyed by their recent Premier League victory over Brentford.

Barcelona, who last won the Champions League in 2015, are eager to reclaim their place at the top of European football. They’ll start their campaign against Royal Antwerp.

Celtic have returned to the Champions League and find themselves in a competitive group where all four teams have a realistic chance of advancing. Their first match against Rotherham promises to be a tough one.

Atletico Madrid and Lazio are both looking to bounce back from domestic defeats against Valencia and Juventus respectively when they take to the European stage.

RB Leipzig have had a blistering start to the 2023/2024 season, netting 13 goals in their opening four Bundesliga games. They’ll be hoping to bring that form into their match against Young Boys in Bern.

Finally, in what promises to be an exciting Group F clash, PSG will face Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund will be out for revenge after PSG eliminated them from the tournament three years ago.
