TMFA : Great Eagles Fc Wins Tamale Metro Juvenile U-17 League Championship.

Great Eagles are the Champions of the 2021 Tamale Metro Juvenile U-17 League. They beat Tamale Super Standfast by 5-3 on penalties after the match ended goalless draw at Kalandan Park on Saturday, 28th August, 2021. They were presented with a trophy, 5 footballs and a cash prize of Ghc 500.00. The runners up, Tamale Super Standfast also went home with 3 footballs and a cash prize of Ghc 300.00

Individual players were also honored for their wonderful performances in the competition. The overall best player award went to Nuhu Mubarik of Prato Fc. The young chap won MVP awards 3 times in the competition. Iddrisu Abdul Majeed of Liberty Babies Fc won the golden boot (Top Scorer) award after netting 13 Goals in the 12 matches played in the competition.
The Best Goalkeeper of the league was Mustapha Abdul Jalil, Great Eagles Fc.

Meanwhile, several dignitaries were in attendance to grace the closing ceremony. The Chairman of NRFA Division Two Committee, Mr Tahiru Mohammed and Chairperson of the RFA Women’s Committee, Hajia Zelia Iddi were the representatives of the Northern Regional Football Association in the closing ceremony. An Exco Member of Sagnarigu Municipal Football Association, Alhaj Wowo also represented the Sagnarigu FA. Some of these dignitaries including Mr Mohammed Tahiru, Haji Zelia Iddi and Mr Mohammed Alhassan popular known as ‘Med’ made donations to the individual awardees.

The NRFA Chairman, Alhaj Abu Hassan Rhyzo earlier on donated two Trophies to Tamale Metro Football Association for their Juvenile League competitions of which one was given out to the winners of the U-17 league ie Great Eagles Fc.

Great Eagles Fc shall represent Tamale Metro Football Association in the upcoming regional juvenile U-17 competition.
