Tamale Metro Football Association, 2021 Third Division League – Al Ashbal Crowned Champions.

Tamale Metro football Association’s Division Three league ended on Saturday, 30th October, 2021. Al Ashbal FC was Crowned Champions of this year’s edition.The coronation match to its effect took place between the the winners, Al Ashbal FC and the Ghana Air force team, Falcons Fc at Gbung Town Park. The guest, Falcons Fc beat the champions by 2-1.

The coronation event was a colourful one as lots of stakeholders including fans, Chiefs, Assembly members and other opinion leaders trooped to the park to witness the event.

Individuals and teams were rewarded for their good performance in the league right from Day 1 to the final day.

Below is the list of awards giving out on the Coronation Day:

Individual Awards

Best Goalkeeper – Seidu Musah (Al Ashbal FC) – Medal

Most Valuable Player (MVP)- Akamaboro Emmanuel (Falcons Fc) – Medal

Best Coach – Coach Amin Gariba (Al Ashbal FC) – Medal

Teams

4th Place: Northern Fc – 2 balls

3rd Place : Young Meteos – 2 balls

2nd Place: Rangers Fc – 3 balls + ghc300

1st Place: Al-Ashbal – Trophy, 5 balls + ghc500

With Alhaj Mumuni, X-MP

The Chairman of the Division Three Committee who doubles as the Vice Chairman of Tamale Metro Football Association, Honorable Ana’s in his speech expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of Northern Regional Football Association, Alhaj Abu Hassan Rhyzo for the support given to Tamale Metro Football Association. Alhaj Rhyzo donated a trophy, Medals and cash amount to the association for the 2021 Division Three Coronation.

The Chief of Kakpade traditional area, Naa Baba Mumuni Shaibu warmly welcomed the leadership of Tamale Metro Football Association and the Ghana Air Force to his Palace. The Chief commended Tamale Metro Football Association for bringing such an interesting event to his home land. He encouraged the leadership of Tamale Metro football Association to continue doing their best to develop football in his area. Naa Baba Mumuni was so excited to see soldiers playing against civilians. This he said would foster peace, love and unity between civilians and the soldiers.

N Yab Kakpandewura said good by to Falcons Fc (the soldiers team) with tubbers of yam and a goat. Tamale Metro Football Association also received tubbers of yam from the traditional ruler of kakpande.
