SWAG, NORTHERN REGION BRANCH SET OCTOBER 31, 2020 FOR INAUGURATION.

The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), Northern Region has scheduled October 31, 2020 to officially inaugurate the association.

The event shall take place at the Pioneer Lodge, behind the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), Tamale.

The national president of SWAG, Mr Kwabena Yeboah and other national executives shall be in Tamale to grace the occasion.

Several dignitaries in Northern Region are also expected to attend the inaugural ceremony including : The Northern Regional Minister, Honorable Salifu Saeed, MCE for Tamale Metro, Hon. Iddrisu Musah Superior, MCE for Sagnarigu Municipal, Hon. Mariam Iddrisu, Chairman for Northern Regional Football Association, Alhaj Abu Hassan Mahamadu Rhyzo, Former Headmaster of Tamale Senior High School and Chairman of the Northern Regional Hockey Association, Mr Shaibu Adam Wilberforce, Northern Regional P. E Coordinator, Mr Sandow Apanya Sule, Director of Sports, Northern Region, Madam Salamatu Alhassan, Chairman for the Sports Callers Association, Mr Awal Essovaale and many more.

However, speaking on Kesmi Fm, a member of the Inauguration Planning Committee, Mr Sey Mubarick disclosed that, attendance of the inaugural ceremony shall strictly be by invitation as a result of the Covid-19 Safety Protocol. Adding to that, another member of the planning committee, Mr Majeed Abdulai speaking on the same platform assured the general public that they shall have the opportunity to watch the happenings in the inauguration via Facebook Live Streaming.

All members of the Sports Writers Association, Northern Region and the invited guests are expected to be seated in the Conference Hall at Pioneer Lodge latest by 8:30am for the inauguration to start at 9:00am. The program is expected to last for about two hours.
