Mohammed Sheriff, popularly known as ‘Samba’ has been invited to the national U-20 team, the Black Satellites.
Head coach Karim Zito has called 24 players for camping effective this weekend. This comes in the aftermath of the team’s success at the recent WAFU Zone B tournament in Benin.
The technical team is expected to pick players from these invitees and augment them with key players who excelled in Benin. The final team will then prepare for the Total U-20 AFCON later this year in Mauritania.
Samba is a versatile player who convinces at every position he is played. He boasts of impressive technique, good passing, areal prowess and ability to shoot from distance. He is a product of the legendary Colts club, Tamale Real Republicans FC.
