Steadfast fc travel to take on the Agye Se Tuo boys of Berekum in a top of the table clash

Week 17 of the Division One League this weekend’s will see a different face as two of the top clubs in Zone One lock horns at the Golden City Park in Berekum.

It is a game involving Berekum Arsenals who happens to hold the weapons of the Berekum township up against Steadfast fc from Tamale in a mouth watering fixture. Steadfast FC have ruled Tamale twice this season, and still are in contention to rule the Zone after match day 30

The visitors are currently top of the league standings with 33 points and are more electrified after overcoming the resilient Mighty Royals at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale on match day 16 with a 2-1 victory.

Berekum Arsenals on the other hand suffered a 0-1 shocked defeat to B.A United at the Sunyani Coronation Park, which moved them to 4th place, two points behind the leaders.

Steadfast fc has the finest attack in the Zone, with Ghana U-20 Star Abdul Fataw Issahaku netting 7 goals in six games, five assist and four MVP awards.
Joining him on the attack is Alhassan Siisu and Abu Abdullah. Siisu currently is 3rd on the goal scoring gong with 9 goals and with one MVP award while Abu Abdullah is also following with 4 goals.

Ansu Kofi Patrick leads the attack for Berekum Arsenals with 10 goals and the second leading goal scorer in Zone One, trailing Welbeck Takyi of Bofoakwa Tano with only a goal.

The last time the two teams met was at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Steadfast are not only boosted by their three attackers, but there is another player with fine statistics in front of goal, Mohammed Sheriff plays as a central defender and sometimes used as a central Midfielder. He has found the back of the net 4 times so far, making him one of the best in his position in the zone.

The game as many has described is a clash of titans, as both clubs have shown their willingness to qualify for the Premiership, and will want to hold the bragging rights after the final whistle.

It is just a matter of time, when the two teams finally meet on Sunday. The world will appreciate the power of those two clubs as supremacy shall be the base of contention.
