S/R : SAWLA-TUNA-KALBA DISTRICT FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION COMPLETES JUVENILE PLAYERS REGISTRATION EXERCISE

As part of the new reforms to transform juvenile football and prevent challenges of age cheating in football, screening has become a key requirement in placing Juvenile players at the appropriate divisions of U-13, U-15 and U-17.

The Northern regional juvenile committee has since started the process in various Districts of the region and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District is no exception as they took their turn on Saturday 24th October, 2020.

The regional team led by Chairman Alhassan Yakubu Dawuo assisted by Mr. Ibrahim Dawuda and Issahaku Azay started the screening process in the District capital Sawla where three Juvenile Clubs were screened. Young Starlets FC, Nasco Feeding minds SC and Jentilpe Young Chelsea.

The team proceeded to Kalba, Gindabo, Bobalanyuro and Tuna where African Stars, Gindabo Young Stars, Lion Babies of Bobalanyuro and Tuna Redbulls were taken through the screening process successfully.

The DFA Chairman, Mr Alhassan Rahman and the District Juvenile Committee chairman Mr. Gbolo Adams led the regional team through the exercise which ended successfully. Visitations were paid to some chiefs and stakeholders of the District who expressed their appreciation to Northern Regional Football Association for recognising the need to develop football at the grassroot.
