RTU Supporters Channel ‘Kuruguzugu’ Donates Bottle Water and Soft Drinks to the Club ahead of the Big Clash against Accra Hearts of Oak.

Real Tamale United, RTU takes on Accra Hearts of Oak in a very fierce encounter on Sunday, 13th February, 2022 at Aliu Mahama Stadium @3:00pm. The match is described by fans and supporters of RTU as a ‘must win’ match since the club is not ready to go winless in three consecutive matches. RTU drew with Karela United in the last home match and lost to the ‘Inshaa Allah boys’, King Faisal in Kumasi last week.
As part of the activities to motivate the technical team and the playing body to win the big match, the supporters group known as ‘Kuruguzugu supporters channel’ on Friday at Nobisco Park donated thirty Cartons of bottle water and ten Cartons of soft drinks to the team. The presentation of the items were done by the leadership of the Kuruguzugu Supporters Channel. The donation was accepted and taken by the secretary of the club, Mr. George Mutawakilu. He thanked the Supporters Channel, ‘Kuruguzugu for their kind gesture and called on other supporters to emulate them.
Speaking to media after the donation, the chairman of the channel, Mr. Imoro Iddrisu, popularly known as ‘Parliament Tanker’ disclosed that some people have the misconception that Kuruguzugu Supporters Channel was established to sabotage RTU. So the gesture is to show that they also love the club just like others do. The chairman added that positive criticism can never mean a sabotage or hatred but just to make sure that the right thing is done. Mr Iddrisu Imoro insisted that Kuruguzugu Channel was never established under somebody’s influence to create problems in RTU but rather to make sure RTU is run well as a professional club.
RTU is going into the big match without their talisman, David Abagna as a result of his return from the AFCON 2021 with injury. However, other key players such as Mohammed Sadat, Abdulai Hafiz, Ronald Frimpong took part in the last training session and are available for selection.
