Referee Salifu Barkisu wins Best Female referee award

The young and promising female referee, Salifu Barkisu has won the Universal Premier League Best Female referee for the 2020/2021 season.

Barkisu is one of the finest female referees in Ghana and has successfully officiated lots of big matches both in the male and female categories.

She is one of the four female referees in Ghana who were recently selected for FIFA badges. The fitness has since taken place and she is anxiously waiting for FIFA badge.

Referee Barkisu is one of the hard working and very brave referees we have in Ghana and always an inspiration to the young and upcoming referees.

Interacting with sportsmrnews.com, referee Barkisu expressed her sincere gratitude to all those who supported her both in cash and in kind.

 

I dedicate the award to the people who made it possible for me. I thank the football fraternity, the coaches, my colleague referees, players, Tamale Metro FA and all those who supported my quest to win this award” she stated

She again added that “this award will motivate me to do more because “to whom more is given, more is expected”.
