Referee Barikisu and Misbao selected for FIFA Budges

Two of the well-known Referees in the Northern Region are up for promotion as their exploits in the League games has not gone unnoticed.

 

Referee Barikisu is hoping to be the first Dagomba Woman to have attained a Class One status in Refereeing. She has also been elevated to officiate many of the top matches in the Women Premier League and also officiate in the Division One League.

 

Her dream of becoming the first Dagomba Woman to obtaining a FIFA refeereing Badge is just weeks from becoming a reality.

If successful, Referee Barkisu will become the second female referee from Northern Region to obtain a FIFA budge after referee Musah Zulafi.

 

Referee Misbao has also been selected for the FIFA Badge, he will hope to join former Referee Marshall who was the first Northerner to attain the budge, former Referee Afa Seidu, former Referee Haruna Ayuba and former Referee A.S Malik.

 

Referee Misbao is well known for his excellent officiating and many aspire to following his footsteps.

 

The Medical test will take place at the Sunshine Healthcare and at the 37 Military Hospital. The referees will later undergo a rigorous FIFA fitness test at the Paa Joe Park in Kumasi on Saturday, August 28, 2021. The Final Report will be forwarded to FIFA and CAF thereafter.
