Rashid Nuhu’s Generous Donation Enhances Tamale Liberty Babies with Support from ‘Football For the World’
In a heartwarming gesture, former Tamale Liberty Babies player, Rashid Nuhu, recently contributed numerous sports kits to the club, a prominent Colts side in Tamale Metro boasting multiple divisions.
The generous donation took place on March 4, 2024, at Zogbeli, as Nuhu, now playing for Union Omaha in the United States, reached out to his roots with support from the USA-based sports firm, ‘Football For the World.’
Tamale Liberty Babies received the donated items, including 20 pairs of football boots, 8 sets of jerseys, bibs, cones, sports attire, bags, stockings, goalkeeping jerseys, and gloves. The presentation was made by the club’s President, Thomas Adjei, representing both the Sporting Organization and Rashid Nuhu.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of the club, President Thomas Adjei acknowledged the significance of Nuhu’s generosity. He remarked, “This is the first batch of contributions from him, and we anticipate more. We are deeply thankful to Nuhu for consistently remembering his roots.”
Coach Adjei emphasized the positive impact of the donation on the club’s challenges, stating, “This will significantly alleviate the burdens we’ve faced as a club. We have been through a lot, and we can’t thank him enough for his continuous support.”
