Northern ladies football club continued their impressive pre season form by beating Tamale Supper ladies by one goal to nil. Thanks to Fredika’s 67th minutes goal which was assisted by the club’s skimmer, Abdulai Mukarama at the Nobisco park.
The women’s premier league side, Northern Ladies Fc was without their dependable defender Korankye Gladys in the match due to an injury she sustained on Friday during training but that did not stop them from keeping yet another clean sheet.
Another player who was missing from the pride of the north, was Jafar Rahama who is currently not in Tamale.
The Division One League side, Tamale Supper Ladies Fc gave the premier league side a very tough time with their usual 90 minutes fatigue-free runs but could not just withstand the quality and experience of Northern Ladies Fc. The match was characterised by hard tackles from both sides which led to the referee issuing out several yellow cards to both sides.
Coach Basiru-Deen’s side, Northern Ladies Fc will travel to Kumasi mid January, 2021 to take on Ashtown Ladies on Match Day 1 of the 2021 national women’s league.
