PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY MATCH REPORT : DAHINSHELI LADIES FC 1 – 0 TANGA QUEENS.

Dahinsheli Ladies Football Club, Tamale took on Tanga Queens Fc from Bolga in a club friendly at the Tamale Technical University Football Park on Thursday, 7th January, 2021. The match was thrilling to watch as both clubs refused to leave any stone unturned.

The visitors, Tanga Queens Fc played very good football at the early minutes of the match, creating some few scoring chances but failed to get the opener. The home side, Dahinsheli Ladies Fc got settled few minutes later making the tempo of the game to go very high. The first scoring opportunity came on the way of Dahinsheli Ladies through Akua but she was unable to get the opener for the Kalpohini based club.

The deadlock was finally broken by Zakaria Amina after she taped in a lose ball from Hanner, a player who is on loan to the club from the Premier League side, Northern Ladies Fc. The match was the 5th friendly match for Dahinsheli Ladies after the ban on football was lifted. They drew three matches and lost one in the previous four friendly matches they played.

 

Tanga Queens Fc

Tanga Queens Fc is a fast growing women’s club in Bolga with a lot of talented female players. The club is a newly formed club in Bolga by the assistant coach of Ghana U-20 male national team, Coach Fataw Kiyoyo.

The founder, coach Fataw Kiyoyo and his technical team came to Tamale for the friendly match with the following players:

Dahinsheli Ladies Fc

The women’s Division One Clubs are currently waiting for GFA to give the RFAs the clearance to organize the Division One Leagues for them. Dahinsheli Ladies Fc will participate in the upcoming regional women’s division one league in Northern Region. The league they won in 2016.
