Northern Regional Women’s Division One League enters match Week Two. Bagabaga ladies took on Nasara ladies on Saturday, 3rd July, 2021 at Aliu Mahama Stadium Annex 4.

Nasara ladies opened the scoring on the 32nd minute through Fuseini Latifa before Bagabaga Ladies pulled paririty on 41st minute through their left back, Yahaya Asana. Bagabaga ladies took the lead on the 53rd minute when the glittering striker, Abdulai Salamatu expertly put the ball behind the net of Nasara ladies. The match was put beyond the reach of the visitors when the captain of Bagabaga Ladies, Iddrisu Iklimah made it 3 on the 86th minute. The match ended 3-1 in favour of the Sagnarigu based Division One Side.

Yushaw Fuseina Remirez

One player who stood tall among the 22 players on the pitch was the versatile midfielder of Bagabaga Ladies FC, Yushaw Fuseina, publicly known as ‘Remirez’. The 16 years old player was adjudged the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Match. The hard tackling and creative midfielder dominated the Midfield with her usual tackles and sending of long searching balls to her Attackers which really worked well for Bagabaga Ladies.

Bagabaga Ladies started the season well by winning the first two matches, scoring six goals and conceding just one. They will take on one of the difficult sides for them, Fc Young Queens in the Midweek Fixtures.
