NRFA WOMEN’S DOL: FC SAVANAH CROWNED CHAMPIONS

The Northern Regional Women’s Division One League, 2021 ended on Sunday, 12th November, 2021 with Fc Savanah emerging as winners of the league. They were crowned champions on Wednesday, 15th September, 2021 at Aliu Mahama Stadium Annex after the Coronation Match between them and Fc Young Queens.

 

 

The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Fc Savanah received a giant trophy, a cheque of Ghc1000 and 39 gold medals for players and management. The 1st runners up, Bagabaga Ladies FC received Ghc600 and 35 silver medals while Tamale Super Ladies, the second runners up also received Ghc500 and 40 bronze medals.

 

 

Haji Zelia Iddi, the chairperson of the Women’s Committee of the Northern Regional Football Association commended her committee members, coaches, players and Media for the wonderful job done, before and during the league. The Technical Director of Northern Ladies Fc used the opportunity to call on the players and officials of Fc Savanah to push so hard for qualification into the Ghana Women’s Premier League when they represent Northern Region in Techiman later this month. She admonished the playing body of the club to go with the mentality of qualifying and not to make friends.

 

The Northern Regional Football Association’s Chairman, Alhaj Abu Hassan Rhyzo in his speech congratulated Fc Savanah for their success and charged them to go and raise the flag of Northern Region very high in Techiman. Alhaj Rhyzo also commended the working committees of RFA, especially the Women’s Committee, Data and Statistics Committee as well as Competitions Coordinating Committee for the job they have done so far.

 

Fc Savannah top the league with 49 points after 18 matches and Will participate in the Women’s middle league scheduled to take place in Techiman from 25th September, 2021 to 3rd October, 2021.
