Dahinsheli Ladies FC was in action against Bagabaga Ladies FC on Match Day 4 of the Northern Regional Women’s Division One League on Sunday, 11th July, 2021 at Aliu Mahama Stadium Annex 4. The match was interesting to watch as no team left the storn unturned. Both teams fought a hard battle but Bagabaga Ladies FC emerged victorious over Dahinsheli Ladies with a 3-0 win.
The young Ladies exhibited their talents on the field of play, manning their roles very well. However, one player who put up a fantastic performance in the match was Dahinsheli Ladies 16yrs Goalkeeper, Osman Huzeima. Though she conceded 3 goals in the match, her good performance denied the deadly attacking trio of Bagabaga Ladies ie Yushaw Fuseina, Nuhu Yatasu and Abdulai Salamatu Nte from scoring huge number of goals in the match. She is one of the very few goalkeepers to stop Abdulai Salamatu Nte from scoring, except her goal from a spot kick. She made a number of wonderful saves to deny the opponents from scoring, and her defensive organization was very good.
Goalkeepers hardly wins MVP awards in matches due to the dominance of outfield players. But Osman Huzeima was able to win the accolade. The young goalkeeper if given the needed care and support could be a good asset to any Women’s Premier League Club well as the Women’s National Teams. She has got almost all the features required by potential good goalkeepers.
Dahinsheli Ladies Fc will travel to Kumbungu to take on Kumbungu KYA Ladies on Sunday, 18th July, 2021 at the Bible College Park on Match Day 5 of the ongoing Northern Regional Women’s Division One League.
