NRFA: Three-day Refresher course for referees commences in Tamale

The Northern Regional Football Association in collaboration with the office of the Regional Referee’s Manager has organized a three-day Refresher course for all the referees in the region. This program is on annual basis.

 

This is to prepare the referees for the upcoming regional men’s division two, the women’s division one and the district juvenile leagues. The refresher course will enable new laws and changes to the existing ones to be discussed before the start of the regional leagues.

 

 

The three-day event starts on Friday January 6, 2023 and will end on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at a conference hall at Aliu Mahama Stadium.

 

The special guest of the program is the GFA Referees Manager, Mr Alex Kotey. Other dignitaries include NRFA Referees Manager, Mr A.A Alhassan, Retired FIFA referee A.S Malik, Referees Assessor NR Mr Iddrisu and retired referee Mohammed Awal.

 

The instructors for the various sessions include Retired FIFA referee Haruna Ayuba, referee Sumani Abdul Kadir, referee Sulemana Latif, referee Opoku Arhin and FIFA referee Salifu Barkisu.

 

 

The course is fully sponsored by the Northern Regional Football Association led by the Chairman, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo.

 

The Regional Division Two League is expected to start on 13th of January, 2023 at the various centers.
