NRFA Sub-Middle League: Zanwara FC Striker, Abdul Shakun Abubakar’s Brace puts team in good position
Northern Regional Division Two League has produced and unearthed so much potentials from young footballers across the length and breadth of the region. Several talent spotted across the various match venues.
This is yet another discovery from Northern Region who is a very skillful and talented playing for Zanwara FC in the ongoing Division Two League. Abdul Shakun Abubakar, the 17 year old attacker.
Zanwara FC qualified to the sub middle League after going unbeaten in the group stages. The team has so much potentials from the goalkeeping area to the attacking end.
The Regional Sub Middle League started on Friday 10th September 2021 for the Kaladan/BATCO A&B Zones. A big match for Zanwara FC against another promising and skillful side, Tamale Liberty FC.
It was a tough game as the two teams were almost equal in strength. Abdul Shakun Abubakar made himself noticed as he produced two fantastic brace on the 54th minute and 79th minute of the second half to salvage his team. The Match ended 2-0 in favour of Zanwara FC.
The April 2004 born striker has so far scored 7 goals from 6 appearances this season.
The young emerging striker hopes to top the league with the most goals and also see his club gain qualification to the 1st Division. His dribbling skills coupled with his finishing abilities and great pace have made him a threat to every opposing team.
Zanwara FC will face Gangdu Stars FC in their second Sub-Middle League on Saturday at the Tamale Technical University Park and Abdul Shakun Abubakar is hoping for more goals and more wins.
