In his statement, the NRFA Chairman urged stakeholders of the game to always play their roles very well. This he said would help develop football in the Northern Region. He again indicated that the Government and the traditional rulers have roles to play in ensuring that we have adequate football infrastructure by making lands available for construction of football pitches.

The RFA chairman also urged coaches and technical members in the region to update their skills and knowledge of the game. He however entreated parents to take keen interest in guiding and disciplining their wards.

Alhaji Rhyzo also used the opportunity to call on supporters to exercise restraint in attacking match officials and was also quick enough to urge the referees to be impartial and just, as this can go a long way to reduce hooliganism during matches

Sixtynine (69) division two clubs will be participating in this year’s league and each club was presented with two footballs each to help them during matches

The Division two league is scheduled to start on the weekend of 13th January 2023 at the various centers.
