Northern Regional Football Association’s Data and Statistics Committee presents Women’s Division One League report to the FA

The Data and Statistics Committee of the Northern Regional Football Association has submitted the committee’s report about the just ended Women’s Division One League to the RFA Chairman, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo.

The presentation was done at the RFA Office on Monday, 4th October 2021.

 

The 27 page document captures all the statistical details about the league. Match results from day one to day 18, all the goals scored, yellow cards, red cards, MVPs, and Clean sheets.

 

The 2020/2021 Women’s Division One League produced 244 goals, 9 own goals, 6 penalty goals, 112 yellow card, 4 red cards, 8 Hattricks, 3 hauls, 1 double Hattrick, 27 braces and 66 clean sheets.

 

Abdulai Karima and Abdul Hanan Sakina both from FC Savannah top the goal queen with 23 goals each while Yussif Barkisu with the most MVPs (6).

 

The committee also put together suggested recommendations going into next season. As part of the recommendations, supporters and team officials need to be educated properly in order to reduce the incidence of hooliganism.

 

The committee also recommends that, referees be given refresher courses and also be educated on how to handle issues regarding supporters and fans during matches. Technical team members also need to appear decent in the field in order to send positive signals to spectators.

 

The Committee’s secretary, Musah Abdul-Rahim gave a summary of the report before it was handed over to the RFA Chairman, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo. He indicated that, the committee relied heavily on committed persons outside the committee in order to have a successful league.

 

The RFA Chairman commended the committee for the work done and has assured them of his full support. He also urged the committee to continue their good job and not to relax for any reason.

“I don’t regret putting together this committee and people out there are commending you for your good work. I urge you not to relax” He stated

The vice Chairman of the committee, Abubakar Yussif, affectionately called Van Der Sar expressed the committee’s gratitude to the RFA Chairman for the confidence he had in the committee and assured him that the committee would not disappoint him.

The Regional Division Two League is over as well as the Region’s women Division Two.
