Northern Regional Football Association Chairman’s Visit to Referee Association
Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo, the Chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association (RFA), paid a visit to the Referees Association of Ghana (RAG) in the Northern Region during their customary weekly meeting held at Kaladan on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
The purpose of this visit was to engage with the referees in preparation for the upcoming season and further solidify the harmonious working relationship between the RFA and RAG.
During his visit, Chairman Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo took the opportunity to inspire and motivate the young referees, encouraging them to consistently give their best and aspire to become even better referees in the future. He emphasized the importance of emulating the positive examples set by their senior counterparts and working diligently to achieve excellence beyond their predecessors.
Accompanying Chairman Rhyzo was Coach Alhassan Dawuo, who chairs the Regional Juvenile Committee.
Notable figures from the Referees Association of Ghana (RAG) in the Northern Region who attended this gathering included Mr. A. A Alhassan, the Northern Regional Referees Manager; retired FIFA Referee Haruna Ayuba; retired FIFA Referee A.S Seidu; Referee Mutaka Nashiru, the Regional RAG Secretary; Alhaji Alhassan Yahaya, the Northern Regional RAG Chairman; Mr. Iddrisu, the National Vice Chairman of RAG; and the current female FIFA Referee, Salifu Barkisu.
The RAG Northern Region holds weekly meetings to deliberate on matters pertaining to refereeing and jointly review the rules of the game.
In response to this visit, Mr. A.A Alhassan, the Regional Referees Manager, expressed gratitude to Chairman Rhyzo for his visit and the encouraging words shared.
