Northern Region: The 2023 National Cross Country Would be Successful – Regional Minister Assured

The Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Shani Alhassan Shaibu has assured Ghanaians that the 2023 National Cross Country would be one of the most successful ones in the history of the competition. The 2023 edition would be staged in Savelugu, Northern Region.

The Minister was speaking during the official inauguration of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) at the Regional Coordinating Council.

He stated that, Northern Region would fully support the to a successful end so that Ghana would eventually be the winner and sports shall be the ultimate winner.

“Most people think that if you want to excell you must be in Accra, and I think that by organizing of this tournament in Northern Region will dymistify that notion and people would have been engaged in sports promotion at all levels”, Alhaji Shani Shaibu added

He also assured the organizers that his office is ready to coordinate the activities of this tournament to make sure that the best comes out of it.

The Local Organizing Committee was sworn in by Prof Peter Twemasi, the Director, National Sports Authority.
