Northern Region Juvenile League (U-17) Championship, 2022: Tamale Real Republicans Crowned Champions.

Tamale Real Republicans a Juvenile Club based in Tamale Metro in the Northern Region of Ghana was on Friday, 29th July, 2022 crowned the Regional Champions of the U-17 Championship after beating Young Lions FC by 1-0 in the grand Finale of the Juvenile Middle League played at Kaladan Park., Tamale.

Young Lions Fc was the U-17 Champions of Sagnarigu Municipality while the champions, Tamale Real Republicans Fc was Champions of Tamale Metro.

Tamale Real Republicans will represent Northern region in this year’s KGL National U-17 Championship scheduled to start on 1st August, 2022 in Accra.

In his brief speak, Abdulai Abdul Aziz Ramzy, Chairman of Tamale Metro FA urged all football fans in Tamale to support Real Republicans as they will be representing the Region. He urged the Regional Football Association to increase the number of representatives from the various districts to two each to make the game more competitive.

Abubakari Abdul Aziz, Juvenile Committee Chairman for Sagnarigu Municipal Association also urged the players to do their best for the Region and called on everyone to support Real Republicans.

The Regional Juvenile Committee Chairman, Alhassan Dawuo thanked both clubs for fighting so hard to get to this far. He charge Real Republicans to fight to end.

 

 

The Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Abu Hassan Ryzo in his address, stated that Real Republicans are now ambassadors of the region and they must make the region proud in Accra.

He urged the players to be discipline and work extra hard so that the FA can make a case for more slots.

Tamale Real Republicans received a giant trophy and a cash amount of GHC300.00. the runner’s up, Young Lions received an amount of GHC200.00

Ten distinguished players from both teams received cash rewards as well as the two Head Coaches.

Present to grace the closing ceremony included, Mr Alhassan Yakubu Dawuo, Mr Ramzy and Mr Dauda Ibrahim.
