WPL: Northern Ladies Newly signed forward, Krampah Lydia is expected to make her debut against Supreme Ladies today
Northern Ladies are at home today to play against Supreme Ladies, in a match day six fixture at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. Both teams are currently having six points and it will be an interesting game as both will want to claim victory in the much anticipated game.
The Northern base Women club are currently without their goal poacher Abdulai Mukarama which has been a set back for them, but now they have been boosted by the signing of Hassport Ladies forward Krampah Lydia, who they believe can help solve their goal scoring problems.
The team has also been boosted by the signing of a new goalkeeper from Tamale Super ladies by name Amenyeku Afi, who they believe can bring competition with first choice goalkeeper Issahaku Barikisu.
Lydia is likely to make her debut in today’s game as that position has not find a fine replacement since the absence of Abdulai Mukarama. So much expectations are on Lydia to start an instant scoring form as that has been the major woes for the Northern club.
Northern Ladies coach Basiru-Deen Sumani will hope his striker adopt well into the team to help them push forward to challenge for the trophy.
His team has won only once since the start of the season, they have drawn three times and lost once.
Supreme ladies on the other hand have won two games and lost three.
It will be a step forward for Coach Basiru-Deen Sumani girls should they managed to beat Supreme Ladies today.
The coach will also hope Krampah Lydia make a strong partnership with the fast rising star Jafar Rahama who has also been instrumental to the team. She scored the equalizer during their last game against Fabulous Ladies in Kumasi, and will hope to add another more goals to her name.
