The CEO of Northern Ladies football club, Dr. Iddrisu Yahaya on behalf of the club sends his condolences to the family of late Jones Abu Alhassan. The astute football administrator passed on in Abidjan, Ivory Coast on Tuesday while he was on official duty. He was part of the GFA delegation that accompanied Hasaacas Ladies to Cote de Voir for the CAF WAFU Zone B Women’s Championship.
The CEO of Northern Ladies, Dr. Iddi in his statement said Mr Jones Abu Alhassan was an Icon in Ghana Football whose contribution to the development of game in Ghana cannot be described. He added that, Mr Jones Abu will forever be remembered for his contribution to the game of football in the country.
” I was touched when I heard the news, very sad. Mr Jones was an icon in football. His contribution to the development of football in Ghana will forever be remembered. May Jannatul Firdaus be his resting place.
On behalf of myself and Northern Ladies Fc, I send my heartfelt condolences to the family”.
Mr Jones Abu Alhassan was a member of the Black Stars Management Committee and also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Division One League side, Tamale City Football Club. He was again the long time manager of the Ghanaian Living Legend, Abedi Pele.
