Brazilian forward Neymar has resumed training with Al Hilal following his recovery from a serious knee injury. The 32-year-old will rejoin the squad for their upcoming Asian Champions League match against UAE Pro League club Al-Ain.

Neymar has been sidelined since suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during a CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier against Uruguay in October of last year. He underwent surgery in November and has been working diligently on his recovery.

Since moving to Al Hilal from Paris Saint-Germain for approximately €90 million ($97.8 million) last August, Neymar played only five matches before his injury, having also dealt with prior muscle issues. His absence was felt during Brazil’s 2024 Copa America campaign in the U.S., where the team faced another quarter-final exit after a penalty shootout loss to Croatia in the 2022 World Cup.

Al Hilal expressed their excitement on social media, stating, “Neymar will join the squad for the away trip to Al-Ain. He’s back.” The match is set to take place at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium on Monday.
