Newly Promoted Betpawa Premier League Side, Tamale City Appoints Mohammed Wahid as Head Coach

One of the new boys of Betpawa Premier League, Tamale City has confirmed the appointment of Mohamed Wahid as head coach of the club. The announcement was made by the club’s PRO, Abdallah Abdul-Matin on Social Media. Details of the contract is not disclosed though.

The appointment of coach Mohammed Wahid was necessitated from the inability of Hamza Mohammed
to continue as head coach of the club due to the requirement that states that only coaches with a minimum of CAF License ‘A’ are qualified to coach in the men’s Premier League in Ghana. Coach Hamza Mohammed would however serve as an assistant to the newly appointed coach while he continues to make an effort towards acquiring CAF License ‘A’.

The newly appointed coach, Mohammed Wahid is a former coach of Legon Cities Fc and a former player and Captain of Liberty Professionals. He will take charge of Tamale City in the upcoming Betpawa Premier League, 2022/2023 Season.
