NANTON : VETRAN SPORTS BROADCASTER AND HISTORIAN, MOHAMMED BAKO ALHASSAN HONOUR THE INVITATION OF NANTON DISTRICT FA TO WITNESS SALLA GALA MATCHES.
The vetran sports broadcaster and a football historian Mohammed Bako Alhassan, publicly known as Dr Summer-Time Killer visited Nanton on invitation to observe the one day salla gala matches organized by the Nanton FA Chairman on 15th May, 2021. He was accompanied by his right hand man, Hon. Isaaka Sadiq, a former Assemblyman for Agric Mohiyebihi who was also an Interim Management Committee member of Real Tamale United (RTU) few years back.
In the speech delivered by Dr. Summer-Time Killer during the closing ceremony of the Gala Matches, he thanked the DFA chairman of nanton for giving him an invitation to be part of such a special gathering. He added that football is about being patience and ready to sacrifice if one really wants to achieve his aim and objectives.
The experience sports administrator also added that there are a lot of football talents in Nanton District that can be come great players in a near future if proper care is taken.
“They are talents in the district which can become great players in future”.
The former Vice Chairman of Northern Regional Football Association again mentioned that fifteen(15) years back, he was in the district when it was still called Savelugu-Nanton district, just to help nurture football talents in the district to become great players in future. He however charged the football people in Nanton to thank and pray for two great personalities in the district who sacrificed for the growth of football in Nanton in past fifteen to twenty years. He mentioned Afa Suleika from nanton and Afa Hardi from Zieng.
Mr Mohammed Bako ended by thanking all the coaches, players and football funs in the district and admonished them to work hard towards the development of football in Nanton District.
