Naa Gbewaa Charity Cup 2022: Football is about peace and unity, Naa Bapri Lamashei Naa to footballers

The maiden edition of Naa Gbewaa Charity Cup, 2022 came to an end on Thursday, 15th December, 2022 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium. Kumbungu Binbiem FC won by 5-3 on penalties to lift the giant trophy.

Naa Bapera, Lamashe-Naa read the speech on behalf of the Overlord of Dagbon, Ndan Yaa Naa Mahama Abubakar II. Lamashe-Naa urged the players to always put up their best in order for them to gain call-ups to the National teams.

He expressed how gratified the Overlord is regarding the competition, Naa Gbewaa Charity Cup and stated that football is meant to spread peace and unity among people.

He thanked the organizers for such a wonderful initiative in honor of Dagbong and the Overlord. He indicated that very soon the second edition will commence.

“Kasalgu Arrow Heads, you are doing well though still in Division Two, train hard so that you can get to where RTU and co are” Naa Bapera Lamashei stated.

He presented the gaint Trophy to the Kumbungu Binbiem FC as the overall champions for the first edition.
