The chairman of Northern Regional Football Association, Alhaj Abu Hassan Mahamudu Rhyzo motivated the participants of the maiden edition of Naa Gbewaa Charity Cup with additional rewards by way of giving out cash to deserving players. The region’s football association chairman added Ghc400.00 cash to the giant trophy that was won by the champions, Kumbung Bimbiem Fc.

 

The most successful Northern Regional Football Association Chairman, arguably also added Ghc200. 00 each to the individual awards winners of the Naa Gbewaa Charity Cup. The individual awards winners were Overall Best Player (Mohammed Yakubu – Binbiem FC) , Best Goalkeeper (Yaw Osei – RTU), Most Promising Player (Kinsley Boah – Steadfast fc) and Top Scorer (Ziblim Firdaus – Arrow Heads Fc). He also gifted Ghc100.00 to the goalkeeper of Kasalgu Arrow Heads Fc, Edo Emmanuel for putting up an outstanding performance in the final much. In all, the visionary leader spent Ghc1,300.00 in the closing ceremony. Before kick off of the final match, Alhaj Rhyzo donated 10 Cartons of Mineral Water to the Organizers of the competition.

 

 

The member of the management committee of national U-20 team, Alhaj Rhyzo called on Dagbong Excellence Foundation, the organizers of the competition led by Mr. Abdallah Abu Baba to extend invitation to clubs from Nanung, ŋmapɛrugu, Bawku etc since they also fall under the umbrella of Gbewaa Zuliya.

 

 

Four Clubs, RTU, Steadfast FC, Kumbung Binbiem FC and Kasalgu Arrow Heads Fc were participants of the maiden edition. However, Kumbung Bimbiem Fc won the trophy.
