N/R: Yoo Naa urges traditional rulers to make lands available for sports infrastructure development
Yoo Naa Abdulai Yakubu Andani has called on traditional rulers to allocate land to sports authorities in their respective districts and regions to be used for sports infrastructure to help improve sports in Northern Ghana.
He was speaking at his palace in Savelugu when he presented a piece of land to the Savelugu Municipal Football Association to used as a football field.
He spoke on the need to improve football in the region and other sporting disciples. He used the opportunity to call on chief and paramount chiefs in the region to try to allocate plots of lands for the construction of sporting projects to help in the development of the game in this part of the country.
The Northern Regional Football Association Chairman Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo who together with his Executive Council Members thanked HRH Yoo Naa Abdulai Yakubu Andani for his support in the growth of football in the Municipality, and also called on other traditional rulers to follow the footsteps of the Chief of Savelugu
Alhassan Babana who is the chairman of the Savelugu Municipal Football Association, on behalf of his colleagues extended their profound gratitude to the ruler and assured him of their unflinching commitment towards the development of football in Savelugu.
HRH Yoo Naa also assured the Savelugu Municipal Football Association of his commitment to Developing football in the area.
